MHM Profil collaborates with HB Fuller-Kömmerling, a key partner, in providing primary sealant materials crucial for insulated glass units, with butyl being the most important chemical for this purpose. Butil acts as a key barrier against moisture vapor transmission and gas leakage. It ensures sealing along the edge thickness, preventing moisture from entering the unit and gas from escaping. Our polyisobutylene sealant materials, GD 115, GD 115 grey, GD 115 S, and Naftotherm BU-S, offer extremely low moisture permeability and excellent gas retention capabilities. They exhibit strong adhesion properties on glass and spacer bars. Moreover, all our butyls comply with the requirements of EN 1279 standard.
